  • At Anime Magic! INK’D, we host a “Cosplay Showcase” instead of a “Contest”. Both events feature special cosplay guest judges, trophies and prizes, and more… so what makes a “Showcase” different from a “Contest?”

    • What is a Contest?: A Cosplay Contest typically has competitive categories such as novice, journeyman, and masters. There is also a pre-judging day and time for contestants, and there is a greater attention to craftsmanship.

    • What is a Showcase?: Our Cosplay Showcase is a casual, accessible and inclusive event tailored to everyone of all skill levels. It’s meant to be a fun way to show off your costume, whether crafted or store bought, and there are no competitive categories. The focus on this event is fun and accessibility‍ ‍to everyone and is not focused on competition.
